Welcome to Donvale Bowls Club

Donvale Bowls Club is approximately 20 km east of Melbourne located in the Mullum Mullum reserve at the corner of Springvale and Reynolds Roads.

We are a "small friendly Club" and our objective is to maintain our facilities in excellent condition to enable our members to enjoy both social and competitive bowls together with a wide range of social activities.  Our goal is to be a "vibrant, growing and successful Club".

We have two greens, an excellent artificial surface (replaced two years ago ) which also has lights and enables all year round bowls and a Santa Anna couch grass green, which has been refurbished over recent years and is in top condition.

Donvale currently fields 6 RVBA (Saturday) pennant teams and two Tuesday Night pennant teams together with 4 VLBA (Tuesday) pennant teams.

Social bowls includes Twilight Bowls, Wednesday evenings during summer and Sunday bowls all year round, other days regularly organized. In addition members can bowl on other days / times.

Our focus is to enable all members to strive to bowl at the level they want to, whether social or competitively and we provide coaching and development sessions to enable this to occur.

New members are welcome, both experienced and new bowlers and free tuition is provided.

State Novice Championships

On Sunday, 7th February, Julia De Marchi of Donvale, by far the youngest competitor in the field, played off in the semi-final of the State Novice titles at Euroa Bowling Club.

Julia had won her matches comfortably in the quarter-finals the previous week, but knew she was up against some stiff competition in the semi-final.

She played against Kerry Scott of Nathalia, who was the eventual winner of the competition, going down 12 to 21.

Despite her disappointment at not reaching the final, Julia's supporters convinced her that what she had already achieved was amazing for someone who is just 16 years old.

Congratulations Julia, we are all proud of you!
